Could this week possibly get any better? The Make in Vancouver: Clarky editing/filming/shredding, Marv, Tommy C, CEOrlando, Bobby Hill, Hango, Wozzy, Shaun Hadlington, VX footy, lots of unseen/unclipped at Vancouver spots, stop reading this dingus and watch the edit already.

The notorious Shawn Franz spend a minute in Vancouver back in October while Philippe Bellefeuille ( Da Peg Show) tagged along to document. This is by far the best edit Phil has produced and hats off to Shawn for making the most of three dry days in Van. Additional appearance by Amos Franke too.

Day 2 of our 5th year anniversary week, we have an awesome Edmonton edit from Mike Orita. Mike is a member of the 30+ club but shows no signs of slowing down/ still rides his bike for all the right reasons.

“I’m lucky to have a great group of friends that all have the same common interests of having fun and riding BMX. Thanks to all the homies and everyone that filmed or had a floor to crash on. Truly am blessed for this life I’ve that BMX has given me and has surrounded myself with people that make every moment memorable and enjoyable” Mike Boag Orita

Featuring Sean Tiffin, Sam Jepson, Jaumell Campbell, Mike Orita, Taylor Elvy, Luke Santucci, Riley Abarnyk, Jared Chilko, Isaac Barnes, Andrew Schubert, Jordan Hango, Jon Alden, Trucker Dan, Nick Dagg, Matt Walser, and more.

Jack is everything good in BMX; creative, humble, positive, artistic, talented, and the list goes on. It’s also no secret that we are huge fans of the DWOK squad and everything they do. While in Montreal recently we met up with Jack and got a talking. We could not think of a better person to do a Q&A with during our 5 year anniversary. Take notes kid.

5-Year-Anniversary copy

Next week Northern Embassy hits a big milestone, five years. Five years may go by fast, but in the internet world, 5 years of content is alot. Let’s throw out some quick numbers, over 1,700 posts, 215 NE videos/edits, 5 hats, 3 t-shirts, countless stickers, one dvd/international trip and more. Over the next week we have daily features planed for each day, in celebration of this milestone! Check back Sunday for the first!

Northern Embassy wouldn’t exist without it’s contributors. This is a quick thanks to the guys who have held it down and to those who still hold it down today: Zach Rampen, Ian Fleming, Jeremy Deme, Aaron Gates, Joel Fortin, Prashant Gopal, Chris Cadot, Chase Davidson, Mason Gray, Jared Chilko, Riley McMaster, Trent Barker, Mike Orita, Braeden Barnard, Sean Cooke, Chris Silva, Dave Scott, Luke Santucci, Brad Hill, Andrew Schubert, Colton Ponto, Cory Beal, Jesse Hildebrandt, Isaac Barnes, Matt Perrin, and so many more. THANK YOU!! This is also as good of time as ever to say we are always looking for contributors so if you or someone you know is looking to help Canadian BMX, send us an email! (NorthernEmbassy@gmail.com)

We also must thank our sponsors, BMX Gallery 4130 and Etnies who have supported us since day 1. Atlantis in Vancouver, MacNeil, OGCBMX (WTP, Federal, Fiend, Eclat, Merritt, Radio), and of course Joyride 150. Everyone of these guys are doing things right for BMX in Canada and deserve your support.

Lastly, and most importantly, Northern Embassy would not exist without your support, the viewers/clickers/submitters. You guys keep us going by checking the site, sending edits over and just being awesome. The Canadian BMX scene is at an all time high, it’s truly incredible to see riders in all corners of this amazing country.

Check back Sunday for the first feature, and then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday!

Thank you!

Today we are fortunate enough to feature a very special Throwback Thursday courtesy of Braeden Barnard.

” In the Early 2000’s, Vancouver was lucky enough to have some of the biggest pros and Darren Bolton behind the lens showcasing Vancouver’s scene. Tons of local spots that are still getting hit today were ridden and a few magazine covers in there.

KILL BMX was tagged all over the local parks when RDS was trying to have a hard image on the west coast. Bitching on the daily until truck barns K.O’d Chalmers and threw him in Hastings.

This video is the ABD reference manual around here”

Featuring Jay Miron, Dave Osato, Dustin Guenther, Rob Sigaty,  Darren Bolton, Ron Mercer, Dom Mach, Wade Nelson, Greg Nicholson, Rob Parsons, Luke Hurdle, Jason Enns, Jamie McIntosh, Darcy Saccucci, amongst other Canadian legends, this is truly the earliest of Canadian BMX in all it’s glory.

“Go Make your own video, support your own scene

Skatepark rules: -no bikes – no pegs  FUCK THAT” Kill BMX

All in skatepark (just outside of London, Ontario) are hosting their third annual All In Full House jam December 5th and 6th. It sounds like the 5th will be mainly street/ jam format style, sunday will consist of runs and Saturday night will be a good time all around. The park has come a long way, they now have an amazing looking bowl along with a ton of rad stuff in the park. If you’ve been looking for a reason to check out this park, here it is. Also, join the event on facebook here.
