Trucker Dan Tag

Day 2 of our 5th year anniversary week, we have an awesome Edmonton edit from Mike Orita. Mike is a member of the 30+ club but shows no signs of slowing down/ still rides his bike for all the right reasons.

“I’m lucky to have a great group of friends that all have the same common interests of having fun and riding BMX. Thanks to all the homies and everyone that filmed or had a floor to crash on. Truly am blessed for this life I’ve that BMX has given me and has surrounded myself with people that make every moment memorable and enjoyable” Mike Boag Orita

Featuring Sean Tiffin, Sam Jepson, Jaumell Campbell, Mike Orita, Taylor Elvy, Luke Santucci, Riley Abarnyk, Jared Chilko, Isaac Barnes, Andrew Schubert, Jordan Hango, Jon Alden, Trucker Dan, Nick Dagg, Matt Walser, and more.

“The majority of the team guys have been filming hard for various solo and full length projects, so getting footage for the Transition promo proved to be more difficult that expected. Everyone one the team is super close knit so when filming for this project it was all laid back, good vibes, and good times. That’s what it’s all about really.”

Riders: Jared Chilko, Sean Tiffen, Isaac Barnes, Riley Abramyk, Colton Ponto, Trucker Dan, Richard Harding
Filmed: Jared Chilko, Isaac Barnes, Chris Perrin, Andrew Shubert
Edited: Jared Chilko

Trucker Dan - Fullpipe carve_

“Dan has been killing it on a BMX for a long time. And Trucker Dan has been a familiar name in the Canadian BMX scene as far back as I can remember when I first started to pay attention to BMX media. I first met Trucker almost 4 years ago when I first moved to Edmonton. Everyone I lived with, and chilled with spoke very highly of Dan, and I soon found out why. He obviously has been an awesome rider for a long time, but he is also one of the most easy going, and nicest people I have met, and hung out with. Up until the past 2 years we didn’t get to ride together too much as Dan had been suffering from some back injuries/problems that had kept him off his BMX for quite a while. Taking more than a year off from doing something you love, and have done for most of your life isn’t easy to do. But in his case it was what he had to do to get better. Myself, and lots of others are stoked he is back riding like he use to! Regardless of Dan not being on his bike for a while he still stayed pro-active in the BMX scene by making it out/helping with events, jams, and has been working at Transition BMX helping support the Canadian, and Edmonton BMX scene. I’m stoked to know Dan, and be able to say he is a friend of mine. And it’s awesome to see/know a rider like Trucker still on it, having fun, and giving back to BMX whatever he can. Here’s a recent shot of Dan doing what he does. Keep shreddin Trucker! “

“Filmed mainly in Edmonton, and Calgary with a couple BC clips thrown in. There was no real direction while filming for this, just clipping on any regular session with the homies. There are some old clips, and some new that I just thought fit in place. Thanks to John Alden, James Van De Kamp, Richard Gallant, Mike Orita, Jaumell Campbell, Trucker Dan, Colton Ponto, Darcy Peters, Andrew Schubert, Jake Montgomery, Eric Marshall, Cory Beal, Andrew White Jeremy Bischler, Ryan Spracklin, Sam Jepson, Nick Lemont, and Matthew Walser for the good times, and thanks to the Embassy for hosting the edit.”

It hasn’t been easy holding onto this edit all week. So pumped on this! Huge thanks to Isaac for hooking this up. There’s a bunch of rad Canadian riders in this edit mixed with good tunes, good filming, and good editing.
