With dedicated bike shops, plenty of street spots, and an indoor park, it’s no surprise the Montreal area has such a strong scene. This new La Cribs mixtape features 24 minutes of street and park moves from a wide range of characters: Alexandre Thérien, Pascal Lafontaine, Marc-André Bellemare, Joel Marchand, Maxime Trépanier, William Hamilton, Vincent Guay, Kevin Ouimet, Sébastien Babineau, Gab Pintal, Arnaud P.Paquin, Mémiche Caron, Maxime Chalifour, Alexandre Bessette, Alexandre Hébert, Maxime Gagnon, Phil Toupin, Mike Nault, Yannick Blanchet, Vlad Poloukhine and Jake Malligan.

Quick mix from a cold MTL trip a few weeks back with Kyle Northmore, Sebastian Gagne, and myself (Landon). This is what we managed to get while being plagued with bad luck. Won’t bore you with details, lets just say best, worst trip ever.

“Here’s what a last minute (and very chilly) weekend trip to Montreal with Sebastian Gagne, Landon Barnes, and Kyle Northmore looks like. Rode as much as we could, trying to avoid frostbite and french cops. Best, worst trip ever. Everything that could’ve went bad, did. Nothing serious here, just rolling around a new city.” – Landon

The riding styles, the editing, the music, the b-roll or whatever gets throw in, it all gives you a glimpse into that group’s way of thinking and how they function. That’s something captivating that individual edits can never really do.

“The Montreal Olympic Stadium is basically a skatepark”. How many times have you heard someone say that? It’s truly is an incredible and legendary Canadian spot with burly, technical and all sorts of awesome stuff to ride.

It seems there are plans to now transform part of it into a skatepark. $750,000 doesn’t go too far in terms of a skatepark but it should be interesting to see what happens.

Does this mean the stadium is no longer considered a street spot? What are you thoughts?

We’ve been working on a full length DVD for a while now. Every so often, some of the homies will decide to bless us by documenting certain days out filming. Here’s a bunch of behind the scenes clips from a handful of days/nights, some in Nova Scotia and some in Montreal. Filmed and edited on iPhones.
