It’s hard to believe but this week marks our 4 year anniversary. Although that may not seem like a long time, 1,365 posts and over 200 edits later, to us it feels like forever. This site would not exist without all of our contributors, a huge thanks goes to all the homies who have created a feature or features, edits, ideas, logos, or even just sent us a link to an edit. There’s too many to name but you know who you are! A huge thank you goes out to BMX Gallery 4130 who have supported NE since the beginning and also to Etnies/Timebomb who have also supported the site and all of our contests for many years now. This site would also not exist without the support of you guys, riders across Canada, thank you for checking this site out!
We hate to ask, but if you enjoy this site please share this post with a link to our FB page and/or insta page.
BMX in Canada is bigger and better than ever today, we look forward to many more years to come.
To celebrate 4 years, and the fact that it’s TBT, here’s a look at a few of our earliest edits that we had been saving for the official NE launch.
We could have posted many more edits but here’s a few other really early NE edits if you’ve got the time/wintertime blues: Ghetto mansion, James Steele, Jaumell vs Luke game of Bike, beer pong with Luke
Thanks for your continued support, big things to come!
It appears the 11th iteration of the critically acclaimed Eye Sore series has been hijacked. The newly formed, Vancouver based shop Atlantis, has risen above the tides and hit up the streets. These hard Haida pirates will hijack any tanker, tugboat, or dingy in the Georgia Straight. Look out!
A bunch of rad Vancouver and Victoria, BC locals in this one. “Sometimes immigrant problems aren’t all bad.” Kerr Bilsland
Riders: Thomas Arden, Jordan Fair, Chance Campbell, Jordan Hango, Jesse Hildebrandt, Evan Farmer, Riley McMaster and Jason Teet.
Dave has been cruising around the Vancouver, riding with the homies, and stacking clips with his phone. It appears Dave has traded in his potato, for a phone that films some crispy HD! Featuring: Dave himself, Andy McGrath, Jordan Hango, Cory Walsh, James Van De Kamp, Shelby Hare, Jordan Fair, Amos Franke, Chris Smith, Dave Laliberte, Andrew Schubert, Zach Rampen, Randy Moffat, Nik Muryn, and Cary Lorenz. Check it out!
The aboriginal term “Squamish” was originally was used to describe the act of partying on two wheels. Now that the town north of Vancouver has adopted the name, we decided to head up there and pay homage to its roots. Enjoy a rad session featuring: Amos Franke, Cary Lorenz, Dave Butler, Jordan Hango, Mat Ridgeway, Nick Lindstrom, Rasmus Gravesen, Slade Sherer, and Trayle Boss.
Dave Butler sent over this iphone video, featuring all of your favorite Vancouver area riders. There’s some pretty good Hastings action in here, and there’s a can can x-up on street.
Orlando is back with another short edit for his proverbial bike company The Make. Short and sweet is how you can describe it, and nowhere else will you see a blend of UK riders like Tommy Curtain, Chicken, and Marv alongside west coast Canadians such as Jeff Evans, Brad Hill, Andrew Schubert, and Jordan Hango. Oh, and not to mention Rick Flair.
Kyle Hirschkorn has been shooting photos and video in Vancouver under the “Life’s Hard” moniker over the past couple of years. Kyle has a knack for capturing awesome stuff, whether his subjects know it or not. Kyle was cool enough to share some insight on a few of his recent photos, including the above shot of trail boss Luke Fulghan.
