I suck at video descriptions, normally I would go with something along the lines of  “I made this video of my friends biking because it’s fun.” But I feel like I could probably say something slightly more interesting about this one. Basically I spent the summer carrying my VX around, annoying as many people as I could to let me film them. After about a dozen mini DV tapes, a broken ribbon cable in my viewfinder and a few trips; (Montreal, Toronto, London and a couple other places) I somehow I ended up with 8 and a half minutes of footage. So thanks to everyone who was down to film something for this! *praying hands emoji* And thanks to the Long Island connects aka The Whammo squad for sending a bunch of awesome clips through. Also massive thanks to Jeremy Deme for letting me premiere this on the site, and for being the man and holding down The Embassy for the last 5 years.

Ryan Eles got added to the Eclat team right before winter hit. He put in work at Joyride 150 over the winter (between work hours and shoulder/rib injuries) and came out with this. Filmed and edited by Jeremy Deme, big thanks to Joyride 150 for letting Ryan film there!

Cadot has been putting in work for this mixtape over the past year and it came out so sick. “”Last summer we came up with the idea to make a mixtape “Meow Mix” to hold people over till Fu666 drops. Thanks to everyone who was involved, chipped in behind the camera and sent in clips. Watch it with your buddy pally’s, get swirly, light up a diggity dope stick, get black out drunk and re-watch it. Hope ya’ll enjoy. Fu666 out soon.”

The man in the shadows, Jeremy Deme, recently went on a trip touring a bunch of amazing indoor parks with five of his friends. It’s awesome to see a group of long term friends still hanging out and organizing trips like these!

“Five old friends took a 4 day trip to 4 indoor parks.

Here’s a quick one to start your weekend. Ryan Eles, Jeremy Deme, Lee Giroux and myself (Joel Fortin) had a little morning warmup session at the Dufferin Grove skatepark in TO and this is what we came up with. Unfortunately Jeremy hurt his heel and couldn’t get any clips, but he still held it down behind the lens.

Not another indoor park edit! With warmer weather starting to hit most of Canada (sorry to the bys in Newf, it’s coming!) we figured it would be a good time to wrap this one up. Featuring Corey Dewey, Albert Krolikowski, Greg Henry, Jordan Krupa, Mikael Cardin, Jeremy Deme, Dillon Lloyd, Jake Montgomery, Etienne Leblanc, Olivier Rousseau, Justin Kirnan, Francis Pasquino, Jason Kearnan, Pascal Harvey Cote, Luke St Clair, Zach St Clair, Jordan Petrov, Chijioke Okafo, and Spencer Bryant Longo. Thanks to Joyride 150 and Le Taz for keeping us sane all winter.

In December 2011, 11 Canadians made the trip to Barcelona for no other reason than having fun riding bikes with friends. And that we did. Looking back on this trip makes you realize that through all the craziness of life, it will be trips like that this that you always remember and cherish as some of the best times ever.

There was never any intention of putting this full length DVD online, but if it can serve as motivation to anyone who has not yet grabbed a copy of the DVD to take a trip with buddies it will have been worth it.

When’s the next Embassy trip boys?

Featuring Greg Flag, Taylor Elvy, Dillon Lloyd, Jeff EVans, Cory Beal, Ryan Hiebert, Sean Cooke, Jeremy Deme, Albert Krolikowski, Luke Santucci, Prashant Gopal. Filmed by Sean Cooke, Jeremy Deme and Luke Santucci.

An evening at Joyride with Chijioke Okafo and Chris Cadot. We started filming at 7pm, with the hopes of getting 5 clips each, all was said and done by 9:50pm, with 10 minutes to spare before closing. Winter is what you make of it and although nothing beats riding outdoors with your buds, we’re fortunate to have places like Joyride in Canada to keep us occupied over the winter. Thanks to Chi and Chris for making this happen!

Filmed and Edited by Jeremy Deme.
