The Northern Embassy first launched in 2010 as an online platform for Canadian BMX videos, photos, and editorial content. Since then, the website has gone through a variety of phases; there have been highs and lows. With some renewed enthusiasm and fresh ideas, we are hoping to bring back the site and make it better than ever. Welcome to the 2021 re-launch of the Northern Embassy.
To kick things off, we’d like to introduce the admin/contributor team consisting of Joel Fortin, Aaron Gates, Justin Schwanke, Ryan Eles, and Jeremy Deme. Dive in to learn more about the characters behind the site and their plans for showcasing Canadian BMX content from coast to coast.
We’re stoked to be hosting the next section from the Presence Last Stand video, this week it’s the Jeff Evans/Friends part.
Online for the next 48hrs only.
I’ve always been fascinated by crew videos, to me they are the best representation of what biking is all about- riding around with your friends. The riding styles, the editing, the music, the b-roll or whatever gets throw in, it all gives you a glimpse into that group’s way of thinking and how they function. That’s something captivating that individual edits can never really do.
Today we feature a special TBT which had been lost from the world wide web recently. Dating back to Summer 2010, the Macneil team started in Vancouver, and headed as far south as Portland, making the most of a week in the Northwest. Featuring Jaumell Campbell, Dillon Lloyd, Greg Flag, Chris Silva, Chris Martindale, Harrison Boyce and Travis Collier, this productive trip definitely looked and felt longer than a week. Besides the riding there were a ton of antics along the way, Silva ended up messing up his ankle really badly but kept in high spirits, a young Dillon Lloyd kept everyone laughing along the way. Just remember, dogs don’t tell
Peep a photo gallery from the trip on defgrip here
Some random clips from a GTA weekend, in between getting clips for the DVD

Zach St Clair is a young Timmins/Markham/TO shredder who is known for his riding and as of late spot searching. Maybe a lesser known thing about Zach is that he’s also very talented behind the lens, wether it be filming or taking pictures. He was nice enough to put together this awesome 2015 photogallery for NE featuring some of his Ontario homies, check it.
No need for any #TBTs today, Ryan Eles just broke the internet. Filmed by Jeremy Deme and Lee Giroux, this edit is only a taste of whats to come from this dude.
