This is whatsup! Surrey and the Vancouver Hevil homies just dropped this epic 6 minute edit (feat. Dave Myers, Andy Roode, Jeff Evans, B-Real, Chris Smith, Biz, Calyton Fifield, Andy McGrath, Jason Enns, Sean Emery, Sam Lowe and more) and a new website hevilbmx.com . Check them both out now and get stoked for HEVIL HD.

As good as it is, the web is a black hole, where great edits can be forgotten in days. Every Thursday we’ll be featuring an edit that is/was rad and deserves more shine time. Starting with Vancouver’s Chris Smith and this beauty from 2010, filmed by Surrey Steve. Chris is a legend to say the least, I can’t think of too many guys who have been a part of the Vancouver scene longer than he has. Chris’ riding has always been fast, dialed and super fun to watch. A little late on posting this one that went online a few days ago, but here is the trailer (?) for the new Hevil HD video from Surrey Steve. Last year saw the release of a Hevil DVD with footage from 2004-2008, and now it looks it’s all HD from this point out. No word or details on when the full video will be released, but this trailer is loaded with too many riders to list from all over Vancouver, and even a big of California and Texas footage. We’re looking forward to more Hevil releases in 2014.

Your favourite b’ys favourite rider. News of Jeff Evans losing his sponsors just broke amidst the Great Canadian Sponsorship Shakedown of 2014, and immediately after this new Hevil video of him surfaces. If anything this video could serve as a reminder that a free frame and some bike parts isn’t going to change your life, but rather good bike riding will always stand out, regardless of any brand affiliations. I bet Jeff will still be doing that for years to come. There’s too much good stuff in here to list out, but the last line is very notable, and then there’s an extra minute and a half of a wild dude jamming on a guitar.

Also related, Jeff starred in this Lenovo cell phone commercial alongside Sam Lowe and Chance Campbell with them riding at Vancouver’s Plaza. What purpose does having two sim cards serve? I don’t get it, but it looks better than a flip phone.

Hevil has had many associations over the years – Chris Smith’s artwork, wild party stories, “that guy who KO’d Alex Chalmers”. It’s a name that defines a generation of Vancouver badasses, and their video is one of the most anticipated things we thought we’d never see. The Hevil video that will premiere tomorrow night at the Astoria is a collection of footage from 2004-2008. It includes the guys who most would associate with the original crew, along with some of the predominant Canadian riders of that time. If you’re reading this from Vancouver, you’re probably already going.

This is as awesome as awesome gets, Surrey Steve just posted up this legendary part of Chris Smith and Rob Parsons from crazy shit 3 in the Hevil Premiere event on facebook. Chris and Rob are legendary Canadian shredders and this edit shows just that, killing shit for so long now and still shredding today. Check back soon for a feature on the Hevil dvd and mark your calendar for the Canadian Hevil premiere on Jan. 25th at the Astoria in Vancouver.
