Drew Bezanson Tag

The Business crew just hooked up this dope edit of Drew Bezanson, Matt Macduff, Marc Leger, Jason Leil and Kevin Robinson riding the trick jump at the Sanctuary of Fun one Sunday. Apparently Jason bought this property in Truro, NS last year and has been literally turning it into a sanctuary of fun. What you don’t see in this edit is the amazing trails they’re building in the back/woods of the property. Damn this place looks amazing. Thanks to Byron for hooking this up.

I’m sure alot of you  have been following Simple Session a bit over the weekend. Two Canadians made the trip this year, Dillon Lloyd killed it and ended up missing qualifying by one spot, finishing 25th. Drew Bezanson held down his title winning Simple Session for the third year in a row. Good job boys, making Canada proud!

We can’t pass up posting two homegrown ramp shredders blowing it on Canadian BMX trivia. For all the history nerds out there that are answering at home, we’re right there with you. Watch Drew Bezanson and Steve Moxley compete on Canadian BMX Trivia from Metro Jams and Chase Magazine, to John Heaton and Alliance Bike Co. Solid set of questions that will make you feel slightly dated if you can answer most of them.

I won’t bore you with who did what, who qualified where, or any of those details. I barely know them myself. All I know is that Drew Bezanson did some of the most unbelievable wallrides and I met Darryl Nau. Check above for Drew’s barspin to wallride to whip out in the best trick contest and click below for a big ninja drop, and Darryl Nau posing for a photo with me and an old Blacken t-shirt. See you all at next year’s contest.

Seshin Bikes had a stacked Canadian team for years. Ted Efthymiadis had a skill for finding shredders across the country before they blew up, at a time where web edits were still at a minimum. Between 2001 to 2008 Seshin had a lineup consisting of Corey Dewey, Greg Flag, Jeff Evans, Zane Hudson, Dillon Lloyd, Drew Bezanson, Matt Walser, Sam Lowe, Brent Webb, Kean Fougere, Jared Chilko, Mark Lockhart, Andrew Gobbo and Steven Moxley. Check out this feature for some Canadian bmx history.

Drew Bezanson is arguably one of the biggest names in BMX in the world right now. From the X Games and Dew Tour to Simpel Session in Estonia, Drew makes stops at every major contest. With a growing list of international sponsors supporting him, this humble Maritimer has quickly become a household name. Amidst his boom in exposure, Drew hasn’t forgotten his Canadian roots. We asked him a number of questions on different topics, and gathered a few questions from other notable riders from the east coast that he grew up amongst, and he sent us back some well thought out and genuine answers. We are stoked to help mark the one year anniversary of Embassy with an interview with Drew Bezanson, so click below to read all that he had to say.
