Back in February of this year I had the hopes of starting a BMX ‘zine, more or less to fill the gap that opened up due to the disappearance of The Union Press. With that inspiration, it wouldn’t have made any sense for me to not hit up the man behind it, Brad Hill. For all those who don’t know, Bobby has been pushing Canadian BMX through his involvement with BMXFU & The Union Press for many years. He’s more recognized for his work behind the camera rather than in-front of it, which is a damn shame because the man can do one hell of a peg-chink. This Bike Check & shit-shooting session was thought to be lost but, due to the miracle that is modern email, it was recovered. Give it a read and then go watch the original Bobby’s Mixtape if you have a brain & some spare time.

Unbeknownst to a lot of people that aren’t from Toronto, there is a small island south of the city appropriately titled Toronto Island. It is the exact opposite of the rest of the city, in that it is quiet, peaceful, full of green space, has (relatively) clean beaches, and not populated with cars. It also has a very small and modest skatepark.

We decided to take a trip over for the afternoon to see what fun we could have with it, soak up some sun, and have a BBQ. Before we got much riding in we found ourselves dodging the rain, hiding under gazebos, and sharing food with other visitors, before we ultimately got to the beach for some sunny skies during a break in the weather.

Check out this short video of our Toronto Island afternoon with riding from Chijioke Okafo, Chris Cadot, Trent Barker, and Scott Barker. Filmed and edited by Chris Cadot.

DEATH BLOW! When someone tries to blow you up, not because of who you are but, for different reasons all together.

Making the best of a wet day in Toronto at Death Park, some of the FU crew put this together for us. Edited by the one and only Chris Cadot, staring Andrew White, Chijioke Okafo, Trent T-Bone Barker, and Chris Cadot.

All stoner jokes aside, here are a couple edits from 420 jams that occurred just 10 days ago in different parts of the country. Above is a quick edit from a jam that happened in Edmonton, AB at the Callingwood Skatepark, filmed by Richard Harding and edited by Jared Chilko. Below is a video from the annual BMXFU 420 Jam, held in Niagara Falls, ON with a crazy roof drop at the end. Rastafarian colours and smoke clips abound.

Niagara, Buffalo, Texas, Worldwide based BMXFU has uploaded their last full-length video for everyone to scope. Tons of great street jibs with full parts from Canadian contingents: Jordan Dwan, Greg Henry, Greg D’Amico, Lee Dennis and Shawn Swain. Also so many other good dudes in there, make sure to check this out if you haven’t had the chance already.

Last month a small contingent of BMXFU folk took a trip to Akron, OH for a quick weekend of riding, filming, farting, and drinking. Trent Barker shot photos along the way and today we bring you a small gallery from their time there. Check out more after the link below.

A few weeks ago, a big FU crew drove down to Akron and spent the weekend grinding big rails and bigger women. Beers were drank, tits were sucked, farts were whiffed, and we rode a little bit too. I shot a few photos in between sampling the many wonderful beverages that Ohio gas stations had to offer.
