THE NORTHERN EMBASSY

You might remember Mitch from his epic edit this past summer, well Mitch shows no signs of slowing down as he’s been working on an insane indoor edit this winter and also just recently took a trip to TX. This year  Mitch has big plans for a full length dvd, this first trip of many this year to Dallas/ Fortworth to film for the project. “While being there we quickly found a park to warm up at and cool off at each day. Amongst some craziness going down in the streets, I captured some good stuff from the park and threw in some leftovers from street. Ryan Vanstemp is recovering from a badly broken foot, I ended up breaking my jaw on the third day and spending the 4th day in the hospital and Andy Vanstemp absolutely destroyed the plaza with half the gun powder he used on the streets. All in all this is the first trip video of a larger Canadian project that we will be doing keep posted!”

It’s that time of year again. Winter is seemingly never going to end in most of Canada but Toronto BMX jam is on in a few weeks and it’s always a good time. Check here for all the info and make plans to get out to it! Eric Favot and co. really stepped things up last year and this year will surely be even better.

The homies at La Cribs know whatsup. Between keeping the shop running, organizing jams in and around Terrebonne, QC, these guys actually take much needed time off work to ride their bikes. Here’s their latest edit at the new Spin indoor park in Montreal.

Check back tomorrow for their Taz winter edit, you can watch the trailer here.

Huge congrats to Jordan Hango for being added to the Fit Pro team. There will never be enough deserving Canadian riders on Pro teams but I think everyone would agree that if anyone deserved it, Hango is the man! His clips start at 1:35 .

The Vancouver LI homies filmed a quickie over the weekend. “We all met up at the dirt jaaaaamps for a bit and chilled em all but got bored and headed to the park. Sessions ensued while obstacles dried. Backwoods were rolled and beer was consumed. Good times were had.”

The initial idea behind this mix was mostly just an excuse to film, but I also wanted to show what typically goes down during some regular sessions at Joyride. It’s amazing having such a condensed area with so many good riders rolling through at all times, as a filmer you can’t really ask for more. But what’s obvious when you ride here is that there are so many good dudes that get slept on because they stay low key, so I really wanted to get those guys involved as well. Shout out to everyone who let me bug them with the camera and took the time to get a clip for this.

Riders; Mike Varga, Ryan Eles, Jake Kavanagh, Greg Henry, Ty Dawson, Dan Ibbotson, Chris Cadot, Zach St. Clair, Ryan Ebbers, Corey Walsh, Taylor Barwick, Chijioke Okafo, Jason Kearnan, Jake Morningstar, Graham Bird, Jeremy Deme, Justin Hughes, Eric Favot, Dylan Leggett, Zack Jarvis and Brandon Webster.

In case you were sleeping on SV4 (click here) above is Andrew Coulas’ full section. Andrew is a beast and can honestly kill anything he rides. Stoked for SV5 and Andrew’s section as well. Filmed and edited by Kyle Smail.
