THE NORTHERN EMBASSY

Just a quick update on Embassy’s/ Dillon Lloyd’s Hunt part, it has now made it’s way into the final 14. Judging goes down next week, Dakota Roche, Aaron Ross, Dave Mirra, Adam Banton, TJ Lavin and head judge Will Stroud will be calling the shots. Keep on supporting Dillon, we want him in the final 10 and onto the DVD. Check here for all the details.

Jason Vawter hooked up a few pictures from the RAD 25th Anniversary this past weekend in Cochrane, AB.

“The RAD Jam was amazing! Big turn out! Lots of riders and spectators, the 14 and under class was bad asss! So man pint size shredders killin the bowl at the Cochrane park. My favourite by far was the master class throw down! With the RAD re-union the night before it was really cool to see the guys that were the influenced and inspired the most by RAD get together and just have some fun on a bike. Bmx Gallery in Calgary AB and 1664 bmx distro did an amazing job putting together a solid jam!”

Thanks a bunch for hooking this up JV.

When it comes time for quality guy stuff, you know you can count on manly man Lee Dennis to come through. He put this day edit together of Dillon Lloyd, Chris Henry, Jake Montgomery, Taylor Elvy, Greg Flag, and a mild appearance of Cory Beal for Cariboo Brewing. Hope you enjoy a little taste of Vanfuvers newest team riders.

While everyone is busy getting RAD in Cochrane,AB right now, next weekend marks a big weekend for Vancouver Island. Saturday being a trail jam in Courtenay and Sunday being the 2nd annual Wanna Giver comp in Campbell River. There’s lot’s of companies behind the Wanna Giver comp and for good reason, Zane Hudson is at the helm making shit happen. Book your ferry ticket now and get your ass to the island, guaranteed good weekend right here.

“The other night I was completely asleep at three in the morning when Matt Desson called and said he and his crew were going to drive to Winnipeg to hit up some untouched spots.  In the mix of the conversation he mentioned this wheel chair rail as one of the spots he wanted to ride, and made a direct reference to this Brooklyn Price’s photo.  It is one of my favourite photos. Brook can make relatively simple tricks look rad.  A stylish bunnyhop is timeless but a few years ago, when this was shot, the stylish bunnyhop was not as current – think today’s Andrew Jackson’s tuck, or Dakota Roche’s Euro table.  Brook’s working in Edmonton right now. Someone lend the man a bike for a few days, get him back into the thick of things.
Desson, by the way, ended up not coming to Winnipeg.”
