THE NORTHERN EMBASSY

We’re a bit late on this one but the Hunt 2 has been out on iTunes for some time now and is available for $9.99. Mike Gray (Toronto) and Joel Marchand (Montreal) are two Canadian shredders that made it into the top 11. If you haven’t already, support these guys and get your hands on the movie here.

This edit is dope for a few reasons: the riding is awesome, these dudes used to be the little kids in Calgary and they’re now growing in to amazing riders, there’s a tweaker tweaking hard in the intro, it’s edited to one of my favorite Joy Division songs, there’s clips of John Alden riding 4 pegs in it, and lastly and most importantly, these dudes are having a shitload of fun riding their bikes and that’s what it’s all about. Featuring Teddy Eyob, Jay Park, Quintin, John Alden and more.

I stumbled onto this video this weekend and found it pretty amazing, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. How lucky are we to live in this amazing country?

Apparently this video was put together with over 65 hours of Canadian’s footage.

This Ant Life edit came in from Jon Fennelly from St. John’s and it’s a great weekend watch. Featuring all the bys from Newfoundland (Jon Fennelly, Rob Yetman, Patrick Sullivan, Sean Slade, Phil Bartlett, Justin Sullivan, Luke Reid, Blair Pennell, Robert Osmond, and Brandon Hedderson) having some fun. The first half is filmed with a GoPro/iPhone, and the second half with a Canon T3i. Enjoy!

“Here is a little edit of Amos Franke. There clips where compiled before he broke his collar bone and fractured his pelvis this summer. The initial plan was do go for a fully rounded edit. With obvious setbacks, we have Amos doing what he does best. Techin’ out on anything in his path.”
– Zach Rampen

Amos does some ridiculous stuff on the UBC slants in here amongst other things including a crazy banger. Put together wonderfully by Zach Rampen, thanks boys! Heal up Amos, we want to see a full edit in 2013 (apparently the above edit was filmed in only a few days).

Lots going on over at BMX Gallery 4130. They’re holding a winter contest where the best BMX & snow picture wins a Cult prize pack (Cult bars, Cult chain, Cult hat and Cult pedals).

“All you need to do is post a picture to Instagram with the #bmxgallery4130 and you’re entered. That’s it. It could be a tire track in the snow, your buddy firing a rail in the snow, or stair hop with the snow shovelled.”

For all contest details click here. In other Gallery news they just released a limited run of Gallery Flames Quintin collab hats. These hats look amazing and will be gone quicker than this NHL season. If you’re in Calgary grab one quick and if you’re from out of town, order one off their new online store here.
