Wow! Well, I’m gonna call it a day after this one. Riley doesn’t always get a chance to shine in front of the camera but when he does he goes wild! One could say hes been on a “Filming Spree” as of late… Personally I have been waiting to see that last clip for a while, I still can’t believe he did it! While your at it go pick up a last minute Christmas gift at the Chilling Spree online store. Give the gift of chilling.

Shawn Duffield’s name has come up quite a bit lately on this site. We’ve posted videos he’s filmed, random photos shot by him, and he even submitted a great shot for our Fall Photo contest. It was only after more closely examining his work and browsing his Flickr account that I wanted to ask him a few questions and give him a chance to showcase more of his photos. He’s a hard working young talent from the west coast with a refreshing view of BMX and it comes through in his photos and videos. Click below for some more images from Shawn, a quick interview about his photography, and expect to see his name come up more and more with great work like this.

Searching for what to play at your Christmas party this weekend? Your DVD of a burning fire place has become un-funny after about 2 minutes? You can’t go wrong with this classic album from the Vince Guaraldi Trio. Some light jazz to play as background music to whatever party you might be hosting, but once Linus and Lucy kicks in at the 10:45 mark everyone will remember and know what they’re listening to. High recommended listening this weekend and over the holidays. Enjoy.

This past summer Andrew Lazaruk made a few trips though Vancouver. While we were cruising around we managed to snap a few clips and always had a good time. Andrew has now made his yearly migration back to Riverside and will be shredding down there for the next few months. Fly snowbird fly!

Christmas is coming early here at Northern Embassy, and we’ve got a few banging things lined up for the next couple weeks starting with this crazy edit of Colton Ponto by Jared Chilko.

“This was filmed in Edmonton over the coarse of summer/fall 2013. Colton had a list of spots and tricks he methodically set out to hit/do. He’d basically have a game plan every time we met up to film. This really kept things on track and was different than the ‘wing it’ norm I was used to. Colton is a pegless grind guru and really put his pedals and axles to good use this summer in all kinds of switch and opposite variations. Hit play.”
