BMX Gallery 4130 brings to Canada, for the second year, Ride to Glory Canadian edition. The contest runs July 7th (tomorrow) until July 23rd. Here’s the general outline of the contest, and check out BMX Gallery’s site for full details here. We will also be posting the task list tomorrow.
‘The contest is very simple, get a group of friends (or do it solo) and get as many of the tasks completed as possible and win a HUGE prize pack. Most tasks are worth 50 points, but some have bonus points, or are even worth 200 points…. some examples are:
Do a bunny hop with one hand
Most people on a bike while riding
All Tasks and challenges will posted on July 7th.
In order to complete a task you must have video evidence. You can either Instagram video each task with #BG4130R2G2 and your team name hashtagged, or compile clips to make a 5 min or less edit (hint bonus points for edit). We will also be dropping BONUS TASKS on our site as we go, so keep an eye out for them.
There is no limit on team size, so if you want to get every rider in your town in on it, that is totally cool. The only thing is that you must hand in your team roster BEFORE you get the task list. Teams may register at the shop starting now, or email us your team roster to info@bmxgallery.ca, and we will email the task sheet if you are from out of town. Also no team member add on after sign up so make sure you don’t miss anyone. If you are over 18, please ask for the 18+ tasks as well…
Prizes will be awarded as follows for highest point totals in both 18 Plus and 18 Under:
1st
2nd

Don’t know too much about this edit besides it being put together by the homie’s at Rider’s Union and that’s really all you need to know! This dude does one of the best hang 5’s to whiplash I’ve ever seen. The whole edit is rad, give it a watch.
Mike Gray’s banging welcome to Haro edit.
“Mike Gray moved from Toronto, Canada to start a new life in San Diego, USA. At the start of 2014 Mike joined the Haro team and we helped him get an immigration visa to become a permanent resident. Mike immediately began filming with Christian Rigal for his first Haro part with the MARKIT homies and this is what they came up with. Mike is on the rise fast in the BMX scene and with a good attitude and positive outlook on life, Mike will be around for a while and we are so happy to have him on board.”
Andrew Schubert has been putting in crazy work in front of and behind the lens as of late for a couple different projects. Here’s a quick one to hold you over in the meantime, quick Tsawwassen session where Andrew pulled most of this stuff within a couple tries.
Nathan Hines has been killin’ it for the past couple years now but he’s slowly been killin’ it harder and harder every year, as has Rayden behind the lens. Keep on killin’ it dudes cause this edit was dope from start to finish!
Quick one from some of the Winnipeg homies shredding the Selkirk park the the peg. Filmed by Brayden Kowaluk.
The only real trail jams/contests are those which the jumps and landings remain after the events are over with. Over the years Brose Jams have gotten bigger and bigger and this year (their 4th year) was proof. Josh Brose, Alex Boyd, Steve and a ton of others put in work from the time the snow began to melt to this past weekend so that the new setup could be as dialled as it was. The first two jumps were referred to as ‘Elevation jumps’ by many and the roll in is well over 20 feet tall. The hard work these guys put in was more than appreciated by every single person at the jam. Make sure to make it out to next year’s jam, you’ll be glad you did!
Kerr just hit us up with his last and final North American Street Jingle mix. Kerr has recently relocated to Glasgow, Scotland from Victoria, BC. How fitting that Kerr drops this feel good homie mix on Canada Day. There are some real creative moves in this. Give it a watch!
