Toronto’s red/rust coloured curved wall can be a fickle spot. Situated in a busy and high traffic area, trying to ride it on the wrong day and time may leave you dodging pedestrians and possibly kicked out. However, if the stars align and you end up there at the right time you can have almost endless attempts at whatever you have in mind.

Originally intended as piece sort of sculptural public art, the wall has popped up in numerous videos over the years, at the local level and beyond. It’s been ridden heavily by Chris Silva in numerous ICC videos and most notably his wall to whip in BMXFU3 (at the 2:26 mark), Garret Reeves does a wall to hard 360 in the OSS video Football (2:09 mark), and Jared Washington does a barspin out of it in Cuts (0:38 mark). These are only just a few of the tricks and video appearances (that are available online to link to) that come to mind when I think of the spot.

It is slanted back ever so slightly, and described as grippy and fast, but don’t expect anyone to tell you exactly where the spot is. We’ll leave that up to you to search for one of Toronto’s most popularized spots and have your hand at the red curved wall.

This one comes from Andy Roode while he’s home on the east coast.

Hey ya’lllll it’s been a minute since I did a mad Monday jump off. K so here’s this weeks ……… So I recently have come back to my home town of Truro n.s. Now there’s a decent skatepark in my town which Is basically run by bmxers. Mind you Truro is a small town so when new people show up the locals know. Soo my first night there there’s no kids I know, which is fine headphones in ripping around. I’m riding having a good time and then one of the kids pop the infamous question — CAN U BACKFLIP ? My response “no”. Kid looks at me soo disappointed haha.
It’s just funny to me to see how some kids still think this is the trick that makes u a good rider.
So any kids out there who wanna get good go to your foam pits n water jumps n get ur backflips dialed in.
Oh n if ur a french Canadian and were in Vancouver on a plane. Don’t speak to me in French you fucks. That’s one goes out to Jeremy Deme. Or Jeremy Deme Burton. Stay mad french canadians we love u

Marc Boudreau and Jeff Bedard moved to Vancouver last fall, after living in Ottawa for a few years. Marc was born in raised in Timmins, Ontario, he’s hard as fuck, Jeff grew up in Sudbury, Ontatio. Anyone who knows these two, knows they are characters. We gathered footage over a few months time and the idea of an edit came to be, obviously these two would want the edit to be different from your typical one… Alot of songs and ideas were in the air, here is the end result.

The good folk at Ride On in Vancouver are throwing a Dirt Jam at Vanier Park in Van on July 16th. There’s going to be best bail, best line, best trick, and best overall titles along with the jam. Trails, BBQ and ipod DJ’s, you know this is gonna be a sick day, don’t miss out.

Dan Buchanan hooked this one up.

A bunch of friends and I wanted to take a trip for at least a few days this summer. After months of talking about it, we got our shit together one week before going and took off with no plans. Drove from Halifax to PEI, then to Boston where we met up with Embassy rep, Mr. Cooke.

Featuring Dan Buchanan, Sean Cooke, Oliver Mackenzie, Rob Wickstrom, and special guests Lino Gonzalez and Jake Frost. So good. Big thanks to Dan for editing this up.
