If you are the filmer for your crew, you tend to tag along on the most adventures and excursions. If someone is doing something notable, chances are that you will be there. So with the increase in duties often comes the increase of wild stories. That could be police encounters, being and filming in sketchy areas, or being the first to witness bangers, wrecks crashes, and more. We thought we would ask a number of noteworthy filmers across Canada of some of their most memorable experiences while out and behind the lens.

Mark this down on your calendar, rail jam next Saturday, July 30th @ 3ride in North Vancouver. A bunch of the We the People team will be there shredding as well.
Scott Barker sent me this great package from England with the gem being this packet of cigarettes. Just a reminder that smoking kills, and Embassy kills.

If you’ve been to Winnipeg, you know it’s one of the best cities to be in, all around. Besides the weather being way too hot in the summer, and the winters making you want to kill yourself, the city is packed full of spots, skateparks, bars, girls, and all around fun. A Winnipeg local, Carl Prettyman, always carries around his ‘Bantercam’ (a flipcam) and films us out and about. This video gives you an idea of the Winnipeg scene. If you ever have the chance to get to Winnipeg, take it. If you need some more convincing, make sure you check out Carl’s Vimeo for the rest of the Bantercam series.
Little photo of Dan Cook, Winnipeg’s finest immigrant, doing a cheeky little wallride. Dan Cook is an amazing photographer and we’ll be having a photo review as soon as he gets the questions done… I (Eric Marshall) shot this photo of him.
If you type “street bmx” into you tube’s search engine, this is the first edit you’ll see. Now at 781,317 views, Le Luke’s 2007 edit has had it’s share of views. His pegless hitching post stunts, hop whips both ways, and a bunch of other rad street stuff makes this edit pretty legendary, it still holds it’s own today.
