John Thompson just posted Jordan’s Blazeguard section online, which is something that’s been a long time coming. From a young age, Jordan has been one of the most naturally talented riders in Canada. His focus has never seemed to be on getting coverage or attention and although that’s awesome, it’s meant that most people have no idea what he’s capable of. Seeing this part come together with the combination of Jordan’s riding and JT’s considerable talent behind the lens was an absolute treat.

A few weeks ago I was at what is arguably one of the worst, but my favourite, skate parks in Toronto and it seemed like everyone that is local to there was out riding. Then Brandon Webster and Mike Gray showed up with Justin Browne and the camera came out. Justin Browne put together this solid short edit with Webster, Chijioke Okafo, Chris Silva, and Chris Cadot. You can also check out the video with Chijo we did at the same park here, and look for something we are working on based on Duff Grove later this summer. If you are near the park (Dufferin Street, just south of Bloor) look for a new ramp we will be donating there next week.

Wow. This video is either already, or going to be everywhere, and we are definitely not above posting it on here. This is the sort of video I hope your aunt that forwarded you a Danny Macaskill video, or emailed you the Tim Knoll video last week will watch and want to send you. Drew Bezanson basically jumping over and out of EVERYTHING at Joyride 150. I had heard rumours of some of the stuff he had supposedly done for this video at the park, but that did not prepare me. The speed for some of these gaps, the squeezed drop from the second level, or the insane height of the custom hitching post they built for this is hard to understand. Drew has done it again. Watch this one more than once.

Chase sent us over this video as his farewell to Windsor, ON. All jokes about Windsor aside, he left his hometown to move to Vancouver and it looks like he went all over town hitting every spot while he still could. Windsor is an often overlooked town for riding, but it looks like it’s got spots in every nook and cranny. Last clip is pretty wild too. Good luck in Vancouver Chase.

Rick Nicholls is a pilot who lives in the woods, and man is that awesome. This edit is from an early summer session at New West and features an great track by Jon-Rae and the River.

Colby Knowler is from Whitehorse and after finishing up the year at UVic he hit the road and sessioned a bunch of parks between Victoria and Edmonton. He dropped this edit from Golden midway through the trip.

Brose Farm Jam V3

This is definitely one of the most interesting event posters I’ve seen so far this summer. Josh Brose is throwing his annual Farm Jam again this year on June 16th in Golden Lake, ON (short drive outside of Ottawa). This year it boasts a BMX contest with a 16 foot roll in to a dirt 6 pack, 6 foot mini ramp, wall rides, 30 foot wide fun box with street spine, FMX demo, live music, a DJ, lake swimming, BBQ, and more. Check out the event of Facebook for exact details and location and if you are anywhere near Golden Lake, ON make it out to this event. Take a look at this video from some time last year.

FINALISTS

Last week we showed you all the entries to our Etnies 5 Clip contest, and today we’ve narrowed down the top 5. It was tough to pick our 5 favourite, and even harder to find one winner, but we’ve got them listed for you below after the link. Thanks again to everyone that participated in the contest, and an extra big thanks go out to Etnies and Timebomb Trading for their support and providing one winner with an awesome prize package. Look for more Embassy contests later this summer.

ENTRIES

The response we got for the Etnies 5 Clip Contest was overwhelming. We were blown away with the number of entries we received, which made it tough to watch them all and judge which ones we thought were the standouts. We have the top five entries narrowed down, but wanted to showcase all the videos we received. Click below to watch them all in no particular order, and check back next Monday when we announce the top five. Thanks to everyone that participated, and especially to Etnies/Timebomb Trading for hooking us up with the prizes for the contest. We will continue to be doing more small contests like this later this summer.
