This video sort of came at us out of nowhere. Kyle Smail has always sent in submissions to the contests we run, and been supportive of the site and products we’ve put out, but he casually sent us a message with a link to James Wright’s ender part to his small local Oshawa/Bowmanville, Ontario DVD he made called Smay Vision 3, and it blew us away. You can check out the whole video here, but this part from James Wright is definitely worth a post on its own. It really starts to get good after the two minute mark, and the last couple tricks are wild. You can contact him through his Vimeo account if you want to try to track down a DVD, and look for a Smay Vision 4, that they are filming for now, in the future.

This edit says a few things: Ben is way too good for a 12 year old, there’s alot of young shredders in Canada right now, and Joyride 150 has made a huge impact on the Toronto/Ontario scene. Click play now and watch this 12 year old shred Joyride better than most.

Many years ago, when asked about his crew of Kelowna locals, Mat Ridgeway described his scene and the website that documented it (BK!) as “our Sandlot”. An apt description, as they’ve been a group of guys who really encompass the spirit in that movie. To kick off the summer, we filled this past weekend with both BMX and baseball. Check out a few photos after the jump.

Chris Chitaroni and a great crew from Ottawa all drove down to North Carolina to visit Canadian expat Roland Labreque, ride bikes and surf. The video came out amazing and aside from the typical hilarious buffoonery you would expect from Jeff Bedard, this video has some great helicopter shots. Who wants to go to the beach?

iPhoneography is a new recurring feature we are starting here, where we ask a rider to share twelve random photos they took on their phone within the last six months. To kick it off we start with Jason Enns, one of Canada’s greatest BMX exports. Jason lives in Norco, CA and has been recovering from a bad knee injury lately, but is always taking photos of the spots, people, and animals around him which make him a great candidate for our first iPhoneography feature. Check out Jason’s photos below, and look for more of these to come in the future.
