09 Jul Dillon Lloyd – Welcome to Vans
Start your day off with a little Diller. Dill’s been on Vans for a while now but here’s his welcome to edit. Dill filmed this between rain in Vancouver, with a busted foot, over 3 weeks.

Last month a small contingent of BMXFU folk took a trip to Akron, OH for a quick weekend of riding, filming, farting, and drinking. Trent Barker shot photos along the way and today we bring you a small gallery from their time there. Check out more after the link below.
A few weeks ago, a big FU crew drove down to Akron and spent the weekend grinding big rails and bigger women. Beers were drank, tits were sucked, farts were whiffed, and we rode a little bit too. I shot a few photos in between sampling the many wonderful beverages that Ohio gas stations had to offer.

JT uploaded a lengthy mix section from the Blazeguard DVD and this shit is good. Blazeguard level filming/editing, chill soundtrack, and super good riding from Travis Sexsmith, the Bolter Brothers, Zac Miner, Jason Teet, and a whole lot more. Jase.
It’s summer, the weather is awesome and everyone is out shredding. This also means there’s a bunch of rad events going down across Canada. This one is still a couple weeks away but if your anywhere around Montreal, start planning to get out to D-structure in St Julie, QC July 27th.
We just got in new stickers so we tossed them up in the store. $2 gets you 8 stickers (4 circle logo, 4 triangle logo) shipped to your door. Hit up the online store to get a pack.
BMX Gallery 4130 are running a rad Ride to Glory contest from July 6 till July 20th. Click here for all the details:
“Here are the details for the Ride to Glory contest that we are doing this July. The contest is very simple, get a group of friends (or do it solo) and get as many of the 70 odd tasks completed and win a HUGE prize pack. Most tasks are worth 50 points, but some have bonus points, or are even worth 200 points…. some examples are:
In order to complete a task you must have video evidence. You can either Instagram video each task with #BG4130R2G and your team name hashtagged, or compile clips to make a 5 min or less edit (hint bonus points for edit). We will also be dropping BONUS TASKS on our site, so keep an eye out for them.
There is no limit on team size, so if you want to get every rider in your town in on it, that is totally cool. The only thing is that you must hand in your team roster BEFORE you get the task list. Teams may register at the shop starting on July 6th, or email us your team roster, and we will email the task sheet if you are from out of town. If you are over 18, please ask for the 18+ tasks as well…”
This is an awesome idea and is open to the whole country so get in on it!!
What better way to mark Canada Day on this site than posting a photo of Dillon LLoyd cranking a mean turndown at the Woodyard with a Canadian flag blowing off to the side. Photo by Marc Boudreau. Happy Canada Day everyone!
MacNeil‘s Sam Lowe, Taylor Elvy, and Greg Flag took a trip to Vancouver Island last month, and Zach Rampen put together this edit of their time. Bikes, beers, camping, and hatchet throwing. Greg Flag even ends up in a bush. Check out the video above, then head over to their micro site for a gallery of great photos by Brad Hill.
Jordan Utley, the creator behind SLC videos Killjoy, That’s It, and S&M’s I Wanna Live, has a very interesting interview over on the French website The Diggest. In a time when people are still debating HD vs. SD and what cameras you SHOULD use in BMX, it’s refreshing to read an interview with someone that throws that all out the window and let’s the type of project dictate the style and type of camera to use (which is sometimes an old VHS camcorder), as well as the importance of music and colour in his films. He says:
I already have music planned for the next Killjoy video and it most likely won’t be out for several years, it’s #1 on the list for me. i also assign the video a color, which is strange, but it makes sense in my head, as far as giving a video a personality or aesthetic. I.E. “Thats It!” was orange. “I Wanna Live” was red. “Killjoy” was black. I want the next video to be silver.
You can read the whole interview here, and check out a vital kit of what gear he does use here.
