Rich Redmond sent through this edit he made of assorted clips he gathered throughout May. Monster trucks, go-karting, a go-pro attached to a dog, and arena shows. This edit has just about it all. It also has riding from Max Vincent, Ben Kaufmann, Jorden Guth, Rich Redmond, Jay Leroux, Nick Stupich, and plenty more Ottawa locals.

Mark Karau (who’s photos we posted back when the site first started) is out on a five month biking, hiking, camping, farming, and anything else trip. He has been updating his flickr account frequently with great pictures like the one above. Follow his travel blog and his flickr account for more scenes from the road.

Mike Cardin snapped this quick barspin photo of Jake Montgomery while out in Quebec. Jake is traveling the country like a nomad this summer, so if you see a soft spoken, helmeted rider on a red bike in your city, show him some hospitality.

This is not so much a typical bike check but a look at an interesting bike setup employed by Leland Nightingale to get to and from the skatepark. The trouble when the nearest or best skatepark is a great distance away from your home is the pain it is to ride all the way there on your BMX bike, which many people will agree is not a very efficient bike to travel long distances. Not everyone has a car to get around, and for those that do, the current price of gas might have you rethinking that afternoon session. Leland decided to mount his BMX to the back of his touring bike as an ingenious solution to this problem and I asked him some questions about it. Click below to read what he had to say and a few more photos of his setup.

Rich Redmond sent through this video of footage of himself riding in Montreal, Ottawa, Sudbury, and Vancouver that he collected from 2009 – 2010, with a few dirt bike clips thrown in for good measure.

Vancouver area local Riley McMaster hit me up to let me know that he just finished his new zine No Bummers 2. If you were one of the handful of people to get his first issue, you can know what to expect. If not, Riley describes it as:

48 page, full colour zine based on a cross oceanic trip to the land of the kiwis. With a strict mission of swimming in the ocean and chilling hard, things happened along the way that needed documenting. Learn how to do the most, what a roadtrip guitar goes through, social acceptability of not wearing shoes in public, and much more. Hand numbered edition of 50.

I got him to answer a few questions about No Bummers, traveling, Gnarwhale, and more. Click below to read what he had to say, some photos from the inside pages, how to get a copy, and Riley’s part from the Team Dilly video It Do.
