Drew Bezanson is arguably one of the biggest names in BMX in the world right now. From the X Games and Dew Tour to Simpel Session in Estonia, Drew makes stops at every major contest. With a growing list of international sponsors supporting him, this humble Maritimer has quickly become a household name. Amidst his boom in exposure, Drew hasn’t forgotten his Canadian roots. We asked him a number of questions on different topics, and gathered a few questions from other notable riders from the east coast that he grew up amongst, and he sent us back some well thought out and genuine answers. We are stoked to help mark the one year anniversary of Embassy with an interview with Drew Bezanson, so click below to read all that he had to say.

If you hadn’t heard about the BMXFU premiere for their FU5 DVD, titled Guy Stuff, then you must be living under a rock, on the moon, with your fingers in your ears. As kings of promotion, they hyped up the events of their premiere non-stop, plastering banners and info all over the internet. With promises of an upscale venue, Paul Hoerdt comedy routine, and a dubstep DJ, I thought it would be an interesting change from the regular video premiere routine. I hadn’t been to Niagara Falls since I was a kid, so we (Harley Hasket, Trent Barker, Carl Arnett, Leland Nightingale and myself) decided to venture down for the event. Click below to check out photos from our time at the BMXFU5 premiere party.

Last night in Las Vegas was the world premiere of The Hunt BMX video contest. If you’ve been following this site for a while you would know that some time back we were asked to participate. Now finally after many months and countless hours searching, riding, filming, and editing we are happy to announce that Dillon Lloyd won second place with his video part filmed and edited by our own Jeremy Deme for Northern Embassy. We couldn’t be more stoked about the achievement for both Dillon and Jeremy. Congratulations go out to the both of them for all their hard work. If you live in Canada, don’t forget that you will get your first chance to see all the whole video when we premiere it after Le Taz for the Pepsi Pro/Am Contest.

Chris Silva has been quietly filming away all summer with the Sour Fever team, and is premiering their DVD on Saturday, October 29th at 5:00pm at CORE BMX and Boards (1578 Queen St. East Toronto, ON). He says it features full sections from himself, Steven Moxley, Ian Christison, James Barton, Chase Davidson, Chijioke Okafo, and a mix section with tons of friends. Come out and check it out before the rest of your Halloween weekend night begins. Also check back real soon for an exclusive interview/trailer with Silva about the dvd.

I’m not sure why a junk food post about pizza hasn’t happened yet, but nevertheless it is my favourite food. It’s also definitely the perfect food for when you are on the road. Disagreements between your friends over where to eat can always be settled with a pizza place. Whether you are a meat eater or a vegetarian, there’s something for everyone, and each place has it’s own unique character. We’ve profiled work from Trent and Scott Barker since we first launched the site, and their submissions keep getting better. Back in the spring Trent visited Scott in London, England, and they both took a trip to Budapest somewhere in the middle. Trent sent us a selection of photos that they both took on the trip for everyone to enjoy. Click below to check them out and read what he had to say.
