One of Canada’s best kept secrets has been blowing up more and more, and hot on the heels of Jordan Hango’s section in Holy Fit, he was brought on to the Fit UK trip to Portugal. While there, Dig’s Fred Murray threw some question his way about life, working, riding, and even gets the honour of being called a NEW Canadian Beast. Check out some humble words from Hango here.

Corey air small

Think Corey Walsh only knows how to ride through complicated obstacle courses? Think again. Brad Hill sent over these two images of Corey blasting and jumping at Hastings in Vancouver.

Also check below for footage from this past weekend’s Texas Toast contest in Austin where Corey was the first rider to successfully make it through the Gauntlet of Death. Congrats!

How many video parts start off with stone masonry, snow biking, then street riding? Not many that’s for sure. Get with the riddim of this part by Byron Lo from this summer’s ICC DVD release Five To Ten.

We’re excited to premiere this video of our regular contributor Chris Cadot in this edit for 3Ride Toronto. Chris has been slowly amassing a collection of clips filmed throughout Toronto with his own unique style, grace, and high bun. Don’t miss this one today.

Filmed by Jeremy Deme, T-Bone Barker, Chijioke Okafo, Lee Dennis, Jake Montgomery and Chris Silva. Edited by Jeremy Deme.

I’ve seen Gabe Truax footage before, but this is not like one of those times. Despite the abundance of rails and ledges in this video it’s hard to characterize Gabe’s riding as that. This features some very hard and technical tricks done fast and smooth on a variety of interesting set ups and obstacles. I don’t know how to better sell it to you, but this is full of some great riding (those wallies were very refreshing to see thrown in to lines), and a beautifully pulled ender. Don’t miss this one.

Battle in the Rockies is a flatland contest taking place in Colorado Springs, CO on November 15. From my understanding, riders qualify for the contest by entering a 1 minute long video of themselves for a flatland video battle of sorts, which a panel of judges deliberate and determine your placing, and people are flown in to compete live for the event. Montreal’s Jean-William Prevost and Edmonton’s Cory Fester both took the top two spots respectively (Cory tied for second place with another rider) by entering these two amazing videos. Unfortunately Cory had to withdraw from the contest because he cannot make the event, but the combos they hit are incredible nevertheless. Check out Jean-William’s 1st place entry above, and Cory’s 2nd place entry below.

Cult has been releasing sections from their Small Talk DVD, and this week we get treated to a mix part from global Cult riders, starting with our very own Luke Santucci. Captain of the Gleam Team Supreme holds down the first minute of this mix with his signature style from some time he spent down in California. The bump whip at 0:51 was exceptionally nice.

BTM frame header

Apparently S&M Bikes were painting a batch of their frames, and by accident a BTM frame was given the camo paint job seen on a limited batch of Credence frames. S&M offered this to any of their usual buyers, and Edmonton’s Transition BMX scooped it up. Their plan was to auction this one-of-a-kind frame off on Ebay to support Wounded Warriors Canada, a non-profit organization that helps Canadian Forces members who have been wounded or injured in their service to Canada.

The auction is available to anyone, and starts with an opening bid of just $1. Starting today (Monday, September 1st), it will be up for 7 days, so if you want this unique 20.75″ BTM frame to be yours, and to support a great charity, you can place a bid. You can find all the auction info here, and check out some more photos of the frame below.
